This course introduces you to the concept of Computational Thinking. You will be given an overview of what the 4 cornerstones of the Computational Thinking skill set are and how best to introduce them in your classroom setting to ensure the development and sustained understanding.
The National Curriculum Purpose of Study for Computing refers to Computational Thinking directly as a fundamental concept. It is essential for us, as educators, to understand how, when and where we can use this skill set with our pupils. Due to it’s nature, Computational Thinking can be applied to any curriculum area but has particularly strong links to Maths, Science and Design Technology.
Your knowledge and understanding will be assessed via a short quiz at the end of this course.
